Reception

First and foremost, we provide for the needs of the bride and groom. Our expert wedding staff will work closely with you and your wedding party to create your perfect wedding reception. 

On arrival, guests are traditionally received in the lounge area at the front of the hotel, where complimentary tea and coffee are served.

We can also provide a Champagne Reception, a Hot Punch Reception or  a full bar. The reception can be held in the Glassroom Restaurant with its magnificent views of Rossnowlagh Beach and deck which opens out on to our private seaside lawn. We can arrange for a local traditional harpist to perform in the lounge to greet your guests. If you prefer another style of musician this will be arranged.

Canapés, both hot & cold can be served during the reception.

CIVIL CEREMONIES

We are licensed to cater for Civil Ceremonies and are always delighted to help you create the perfect wedding day. Our wedding planner will work closely with you to design a boutique wedding ceremony and celebration. Most civil ceremonies take place in the the Mark O’Neill Room which can hold up to 140 guests. This spacious yet intimate room is dressed with crisp white chair covers with bows, lights and fresh flower, and we always encourage the wedding party to add their own personal touches.

Entertainment

Entertainment is held in the Mark O’Neill function room.  This allows the performers to set up while your guests continue to enjoy the atmosphere in the  Seashell Restaurant until the band are ready to begin, and you are ready for your first dance.

Table service is provided throughout the evening.

Supper can be served in the Mark O’Neill room during a break in the entertainment. This can simply be tea and a selection of sandwiches or a more substantial selection of finger food.

Bridal Hair & Make-Up

You and your guests can also take advantage of the Marine Spa which will of course be at your disposal during your time at the Sandhouse.

Guests can enjoy a relaxing break in the jacuzzi, or book a luxurious spa treatment on their own or with a group of friends.

A Bridal Hair & Make-Up service can be provided to ensure you do not need to travel far in preparation for your walk down the aisle.

All guests are free to book in for any of the range of treatments available, from manicures to seaweed baths.
